With offices strategically located across California and other regions, they provide a variety of comprehensive services to clients in the community.
Position Summary:
They are actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Construction Consultant with a strong background in construction cost estimating, forensic construction, & rehabilitation projects. We are looking for candidates with extensive hands-on experience in project management, supervising, estimating, budgeting, and cost analysis within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed repair scope and cost estimating using industry-standard tools such as Excel, Xactimate, Planswift, and Bluebeam.
- Perform thorough field inspections for both commercial and residential properties.
- Evaluate restoration needs and develop comprehensive scopes of repair.
- Prepare detailed findings reports, inspection summaries, and reports on destructive testing.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure project deadlines and budgets are met.
- Interface directly with clients and project stakeholders to provide updates and gather requirements.
- Develop new business opportunities and maintain a strong client portfolio by leveraging an extensive network of industry contacts.
- Licensed General Contractor or Engineer preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on construction experience in residential or multi-dwelling settings, with a focus on repair or remediation work at a leadership level.
- Experience in litigation and providing expert witness testimony.
- Proven ability to generate business, including a strong client portfolio and an extensive network of industry contacts.
- Proficiency in cost estimating and manipulating various cost estimating forms; experience with estimating software.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with project management software.
- Previous field inspection experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
- Valid California (Class C) Driver's License required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows, MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Highly organized with keen attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work well independently or as part of a team.
