Role: Desktop Engineer II
Type: Contract
Contract Location: El Segundo, CA
(mostly remote but will occasionally need to travel to El Segundo and other client locations in US and Canada)
Contract Duration: 12 months
Candidates must reside within reasonable driving distance to El Segundo, CA (near Los Angeles Airport) as occasional travel to local office maybe required.
Bilingual skills required (fluent in English and native Japanese)
Job Description:
Supports Japan Airline users in the American Regions in both Japanese and English language.
Skill Summary/Attributes:
Familiar with troubleshooting and resolution of PC hardware & software issues
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Google Workspace, Virtual Desktops (VMWare Horizon), Windows Servers (and Active Directory)
Operate effectively in a team environment while working from home
English and Japanese verbal and written communication skills
Job Responsibilities:
Install and configure PC computers, peripherals, and networking
Install and configure Microsoft OS, Office, and JAL applications (English & Japanese)
Provide 2nd tier support (primary support by Global Help Desk in Tokyo)
Provide remote desktop support via telephone, email, or remote access software (VNC)
Special projects may require traveling to locations in all American region (US, Canada) and may require occasional overtime hours
Requires physical work, including packing, shipping, and moving computers
