Senior FPGA Engineer II

CesiumAstro is seeking a highly skilled Senior FPGA Engineer II to join our team of innovators. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, verifying, and deploying FPGA circuits and systems across all phases of the development process.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement FPGA circuits and systems at the HDL level, including high-speed serial interfaces and data streams, digital processing cores, multiple clocks and clock domains, and management interfaces.
- Develop and test FPGA HDL designs, ensuring high-quality and reliability.
- Participate in proposal-writing efforts and present engineering design review materials to customers and executive teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of FPGA systems into larger aerospace and airborne platforms.
- Bachelor of Science (BS) or Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited university or institution.
- 6 years of industry or university research experience in FPGA design, analysis, and implementation at the HDL level.
- Expertise in FPGA design and verification, including Verilog/VHDL, HDL coder, Xilinx's Vivado, and Modelsim.
- Hands-on experience with lab instruments, such as digital oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF signal generators, and vector signal analyzers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Aerospace design and qualification.
- Worst-case analysis, failure mode and criticality analyses, and reliability analysis.
- Experience with board-level hardware design.
- Familiarity with communications systems, such as digital signal processing.
