Job Description:
Manages comprehensive diversity and inclusion solutions for the bank. Solves complex problems or needs related to core diversity and inclusion needs and opportunities. Leads major projects, programs or processes with significant business impact involving cross-functional teams and/or organizations. Influences strategic direction and develops / implements plans to achieve diversity and inclusion outcomes. Possesses strong and extensive technical or functional diversity and inclusion related knowledge. May also develop and/or sponsor tactics to achieve diversity and inclusion strategic objectives across multiple businesses / functional groups. May serve as a SME to advise, consult, improve and influence diversity and inclusion related outcomes. Individual contributor role.

The D&I Consultant II - Process, Business Support and Projects will support the Women, Underrepresented Segments, Employee Networks and D&I Awards space which includes execution of key processes and in this role, you will partner across the Global D&I team, Global Human Resources and with Control Partners to deliver on key requirements. This role will also have responsibility for leading current D&I initiatives and the opportunity to develop and deliver new initiatives. They will be a strong communicator, with excellent judgment and must demonstrate attention to detail in their work. The D&I Consultant will be an innovative, decisive, results-oriented and highly organized professional who can develop and manage relationships across the Global Diversity & Inclusion Organization (GDIO) with a wide variety of support partners within GHR like The Academy, Global Talent and Talent Acquisition.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead, coordinate and execute on key D&I initiatives with a focus on: (i) Risk, Compliance implementations/change for the Employee Networks, (ii) Women and Underrepresented Segment integration, (iii) enterprise process alignment, and (iv) GDIO specific initiatives.
  • Oversight and management of D&I Core processes across the team, focusing on driving and fulfilling enterprise processes with the regional and international lens and identifying process improvement and efficiency e.g., Count Me In, Goal Setting.
  • Create, leverage, and interpret qualitative and quantitative data to understand areas of strategic improvement of D&I activity horizontally for the team.
  • Support the preparation of the strategic planning and review including internal and external communications, key events, and partnerships.
  • Manage forecasting and budgets - integrating with GDIO Process & COO team.
  • Support the creation of content for presentation to Senior Leaders up to and including the Global Diversity & Inclusion (GDIC) Council, HRLT and MTM
  • Manages and plans management routines and supports the partnership and integration of D&I across the Women, Underrepresented, Employee Network and D&I Awards space

Required Qualifications:
  • 5- 10 years of experience within a Human Resources-related function or equivalent project and program management expertise
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to identify trends, outliers and potential errors in data and tell a compelling story
  • Extensive experience leading major projects, programs or processes with significant business impact involving cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in determining timelines and documenting a detailed project plan to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery
  • Demonstrated leadership and passion for Diversity & Inclusion
  • Ability to lead and influence others who are not direct reports
  • Must execute with a strong attention to detail, ensuring data accuracy, and delivering a high-quality and executive-ready work product in a timely manner
  • Ability to understand and influence strategic direction and develop tactical plans; understand and articulate the big picture objectives, while driving out the execution of tactics and deliverables
  • Strong process orientation and organizational skills - capable of thinking about processes end-to-end, mapping out milestones, deliverables, and communication plans, and considering pitfalls, barriers and opportunities along the way
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational, project management and collaboration skills to deliver output of the highest quality across multiple, concurrent projects and tight timelines
  • Ability to communicate and interact with senior leaders/executives and communicate and influence peers and partners
  • Effective at leading meetings and presenting in various forums
  • Must have high proficiency in Microsoft Excel, (formulas, pivot tables etc.) Word and PowerPoint to generate executive-ready presentations

Desired Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of Employee Network Chapter or Enterprise leadership and/or Bank of America Community Volunteer Team leadership experience
  • 2+ years of line of business or other Diversity and Inclusion leadership, including councils
  • Event planning experience, preferably in a corporate setting
  • Knowledge of various D&I councils across the organization
  • Knowledge of Agile framework and/or Agilist certification
  • Experience with JIRA
  • Advanced knowledge of virtual meeting and events platforms, including (but not limited to) Webex, Skype, Zoom, Veracast, and Live to Desktop
  • Public speaking experience
