NOVA Engineering is seeking Environmental Staff or Project Consultant for our Charlotte, NC office. We are looking for self-motivated individuals with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. This position offers the opportunity for growth and advancement for the successful candidate. Teh ideal candidate needs to be well-versed with due diligence projects, including Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs).

Duties:

  • Perform Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and Phase II Remediation Field Activities
  • Soil, groundwater, and vapor investigations and testing
  • Indoor air quality investigations, including asbestos, mold, and lead-based paint.
  • Underground storage tank removals
  • Preparing and executing reports and other client correspondence
  • Providing oversight, QA/QC, analysis, laboratory testing and field services as required to meet our clients’ expectations
  • Project Management and business development duties
  • Cross-train with NOVA's other service lines

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science
  • 2 - 6 years of Phase I & II experience is required
  • NC Brownfields experience is preferred
  • Project management experience is preferred
  • Good communications and reporting skills
  • Experience with review of due diligence reports.
