Daily point of contact for employees and people managers related to HR policies, procedures and programs. Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relation issues, conducts investigations and handles employee relations counseling with related employee population. Coordinates the recruiting and staffing initiatives required for the facility, including background checks and pre-employment drug testing in conjunction with the Manager, Talent Acquisition and corporate processes. Coordinates new employee orientation/onboarding activities, employee development and training, and associated recordkeeping. Coordinates documentation and communication of Worker’s Compensation-related issues with the Director, EHS as well as with state agencies and/or insurance representatives as required or requested. Participate in Safety initiatives throughout the plant with leadership. Flexible for 24/7 shift meetings for employee engagement and communication meetings. Prepare presentations for internal communications. (ie, monthly birthdays and work anniversary for bulletin boards) Success Factors Basic computer knowledge (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Office) Alignment with company mission, vision, and values. Excellent telephone, verbal, and written communication skills. The ability to keep sensitive information confidential.
