Overview

The Human Resources Manager plays a crucial role in aligning business goals with the needs of employees and management within designated business units. Acting as a consultant to management, this position champions employee well-being and drives positive change within the organization. The successful HR Manager anticipates and addresses HR-related requirements, collaborates with the HR department and business leaders to develop effective solutions, and fosters partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added services aligned with organizational objectives. This role may also involve international HR responsibilities and oversight of employee relations, operational support, and daily plant functions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular meetings with relevant business units.
  • Provide HR guidance and support to management as needed.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in collaboration with the HR team to design and implement solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Manage complex employee relations issues, including conducting thorough and impartial investigations.
  • Stay updated on legal requirements related to employee management, ensuring compliance and minimizing legal risks.
  • Offer performance management guidance, including coaching, counseling, and career development support.
  • Foster positive work relationships, boost morale, and enhance productivity and retention rates.
  • Interpret and apply HR policies effectively.
  • Offer guidance on Union negotiations and compliance with state laws.
  • Develop contract terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers.
  • Contribute to business unit restructuring, workforce planning, and succession planning efforts.
  • Identify training needs and provide executive coaching as required.
  • Evaluate and monitor training programs to ensure their effectiveness and alignment with objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 5 7 years of experience in human resources
  • Experience in manufacturing is preferred
  • Proficiency in labor laws and HR best practices
  • Business partner mindset with strong analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms
  • Self-motivated, action-oriented, and adept at multitasking
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with employees at all levels
