Location: 7930 O Street, Lincoln, Nebraska 68510 Practice Name O Street About the Job Patient Care Coordinators are responsible for providing exceptional service by welcoming our patients and ensuring all check-in and checkout processes are completed. Responsibilities Acknowledge and greet patients, customers, and vendors as they walk into the practice in a friendly and welcoming manner. Answer and respond to telephone inquiries in a professional and timely manner. Schedule appointments. Gather patients and insurance information. Verify and enter patient demographics into EMR ensuring all fields are complete. Verify vision and medical insurance information and enter into EMR. Maintain a clear understanding of insurance plans and communicate insurance information to the patients. Pull schedules to ensure insurance eligibility prior to patient appointment and ensure files are complete. Prepare insurance claims and run reports to ensure all charges are billed and filed. Print and prepare forms for patients' visits. Collect and document all charges, co-pays, and payments into EMR. Allocate balances to insurance as needed. Always maintain a clean workspace. Practice economy in the use of time, equipment, and supplies. Perform other duties as needed and as assigned by the manager. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Basic computer literacy. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills (verbal and written). Must be able to maintain patient and practice confidentiality. Benefits 401(k) with Match.
