Overview:

The VP of Brand and Marketing for Atlanta FaZe is a dynamic and strategic leader responsible for driving the brand vision and marketing strategies for one of the premier teams in the Call of Duty League. This role requires a creative, analytical, and results-driven individual with a deep understanding of esports, gaming culture, and fan engagement. The VP will oversee all aspects of brand development, marketing campaigns, content creation, and community engagement to elevate the Atlanta FaZe brand and drive growth across all platforms.

Key Responsibilities: Brand Strategy and Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive brand strategy that aligns with the overall vision and objectives of Atlanta Esports Ventures and the Call of Duty League. Ensure brand consistency and integrity across all marketing and communication channels. Identify and leverage new opportunities to enhance brand visibility and engagement within the esports and gaming communities. Marketing Campaigns: Lead the planning, development, and execution of innovative marketing campaigns that drive fan engagement and team revenue streams including MTX & merchandise. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to create compelling content, including videos, social media posts, and promotional materials. Track and analyze campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for optimization. Manage the creation and fulfillment of Atlanta FaZe team merchandise including vendor, league and other external relationships. Content Creation and Social Media Management: Oversee the content creation team to produce high-quality, engaging content that resonates with the Atlanta FaZe fanbase. Develop and implement a social media strategy that increases followers, engagement, and brand loyalty across all platforms. Monitor social media trends, competitive activity, and industry best practices to keep the brand at the forefront of digital marketing. Partnerships and Sponsorships: Identify, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships and sponsorships that align with the brand and drive revenue growth. Collaborate with partners to create and activate co-branded campaigns that enhance the fan experience and deliver value to both parties. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including sponsors, influencers, and media outlets. Community Engagement: Foster a strong connection with the Atlanta FaZe community through events, activations, and fan interactions. Develop initiatives that promote inclusivity and diversity within the fanbase. Engage with fans through social media, forums, and live events to gather feedback and build loyalty. Budget Management: Manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI. Track expenditures, forecast budget needs, and report on financial performance to senior leadership. Leadership and Team Development: Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities. Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that encourages creativity and excellence.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. 8+ years of experience in brand management, marketing, or a related field, with a focus on esports, gaming, or entertainment. Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns and brand strategies. Strong understanding of the esports and gaming industry, including trends, audiences, and competitive landscape. Excellent leadership, communication, project management and interpersonal skills. Ability to think creatively and strategically, with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement. Strong analytics skills, with experience using social media planning + analytic tools such as Blinkfire, Monday.com etc. Proficiency in digital marketing, social media management, and content creation tools. Experience in budget management and financial analysis. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously and lead team effectively . Position is in Atlanta, GA working from AEV’s ATL HQ.
