Salary: $21.00 to $23.00
Job Summary:
The Program Specialist performs specialized program activities, job readiness, job development and placement, education and training placement, and other duties to support assigned Mission Services programs.
Duties/Responsibilities:
•Develops and continues relationships with employers, community organizations and leaders to assist
participants in gaining and/or maintaining employment.
•Provides outreach services in a variety of methods, as necessary, to individuals when they appear to
disengage from the service.
•Implements relationship-building strategies with employers including presentations, special events,
employer acknowledgement, and networking.
•Maintains participant files and files documents/forms in a timely manner according to program policies,
ensures all required documents/forms are filed, and reports any file discrepancies to the Mission
Services Manager.
•Performs job retention services for the designated time period, verifies employment, and organized
supportive services for participants.
•Monitors subsidized employment and/or work experience worksites and participants.
•Develops a training plan for the participant in concert with the participant, the site supervisor, and the
program case manager.
•Attends a performance evaluation with the participant and the site supervisor.
•Updates employment preparation documents as needed and assists with interview practice.
•Maintains documentation related to participant participation to include time-sheets, performance
evaluations, and pay-stubs.
•Participates in team meetings with internal staff and outside providers, as appropriate, and
communicate individually with team members between meetings in order to coordinate.
•Maintains all documentation on assigned cases including up-to-date case notes and updating any
required databases.
•Adheres to program standards and outcomes as outlined in program policies/procedures, program
contracts, and referral and accreditation agency standards.
•Assist program participants obtain and receive supportive services.
•Willing to work during off hours on occasion to assist in outreach or program presentations.
•Performs other related duties as assigned that would lead to successful operation of department, team,
and/or mission.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Individuals must have a valid driver's license, liability insurance, insurability under the agency insurance carrier, dependable vehicle and a clean driving record.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Ability to speak/read/write proficient English; Bilingual skills preferred.
•Proficient with Microsoft Office/Office 365.
•Ability to market and place individuals with disabilities, lack of skills, negative work history, justice-
involved, and/or multiple barriers to employment.
•Knowledge of the local labor market.
•Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
•Works well under pressure and with deadlines; ability to multitask.
•Excellent time management skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
•Honesty, integrity, reliability, punctuality.
•Thorough knowledge about company's mission and services.
•Uphold compliance with all legal, health, and safety guidelines.
Required Experience:
•Bachelor's degree or experience in job placement/staffing.
•Valid driver license and insured/reliable vehicle.
•Background check.
