Handex is seeking a motivated and entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to make an impact in the Industrial Solid Separations and Dewatering Services market in the Greater Louisville/Ohio River and and overall Mid-West Region. As the BDM, you will be responsible for networking, and building business development initiatives in wastewater treatment plants, chemical, manufacturing, pulp and paper, utility and/or refineries. Position requires living in the surrounding Greater Louisville/Ohio River/Midwest Region and will be fully remote.

My responsibilities and objectives:

  • Generates new business in the Greater Louisville/Ohio River and Mid-West Region by growing your industrial services pipeline in solid separations and dewatering at refineries, chemical plants, wastewater treatment plants, pulp and paper and utilities.
  • Identifies, prioritizes, and initiates new client opportunities to create growth strategies and identifies solutions to meet client's needs.
  • Effectively builds and maintains relationships with key customers and leaders to consult and influence decisions for dewatering services, equipment/technology choices.
  • Develops and maintains accurate and current records of opportunities, accounts, contacts, leads, actions, and reporting in salesforce CRM.
  • Prepare Marketing and Business Presentation Materials (bids & proposals).
  • Establishes Account Plan's and communicates to management and client's progress regarding status, plans and activities.
  • Partake in networking activities.

Requirements

Requirements and skills needed for success:
  • HS diploma/GED required. College degree a plus.
  • 7+ years successfully selling and driving growth by generating and continually increasing revenue within the Industrial Services market for solid separations and dewatering at refineries, chemical plants, wastewater treatment, pulp and paper or utilities in the Mid-West Region.
  • A true hunter along with an entrepreneurial and start-up mind set is a must.
  • Knowledge of solid separation and dewatering equipment (dredges, centrifuges, presses, etc..) and processes.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Excels in the art of communication (verbal and written), networking and building relationships.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint. CRM a must and Salesforce a plus.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the Greater Louisville and Mid- West region as needed.
  • Reside in the surrounding Greater Louisville/Mid-West Region.
  • Driver's license in good standing a must.
  • Ability to pass background checks (criminal/drug/alcohol) required.
