POSITION SUMMARY:

The Development Finance Manager will assist in coordinating various aspects of real estate transactions. In this role, you will help oversee projects and partner relationships from acquisition and design, through financing and closing. Additionally, the role will eventually evolve into helping the executive management team make recommendations on the portfolio. This position will be responsible for meeting comprehensive tasks and requirements associated with multifamily development in various markets the company operates. This role will work closely with the Development teams and the Capital Markets team.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create and maintain financial models in connection with the valuation and acquisition of multifamily assets and partnership interests.

• Develop long-term financial projections and operating budgets.

• Calculate surplus cash flow, debt coverage ratio, sensitivity analysis, and other metrics.

• Negotiate with multiple parties on behalf of LDG and keep abreast of and understand current financing programs, rates, and underwriting criteria.

• Coordinating with multiple different development partners including non-profits, construction companies, financial institutions, brokers, and more.

• Analyze and interpret partnership agreements, loans, and other documents.

• Review letters of intent and applications for financing.

• Participate in analyzing potential developments from conception to closing.

• Become knowledgeable in the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit industry as well as Market Rate / Workforce Housing.

• Attend industry conferences to stay up to date on market standards and grow business opportunities.

• Additional responsibilities/tasks within the position's purpose may be assigned. LDG Development LLC & its affiliates reserve the right to change job descriptions at any time, with or without prior notice, based on business conditions/needs.

• Potentially manage a team of 1-2 Development Finance Associates.

• Various special projects and other responsibilities as determined.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4+ years of previous finance-related work experience.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, accounting, or other related field to Finance or Real Estate.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.

• Strong project management experience.

• Ideal candidates will also be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and team players.
