We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Credit Analyst to join our team during a pivotal stage in our company's growth. As a Credit Analyst, you will play a crucial role in our success by executing on our mission to serve our clients and investors. The ideal candidate should have real estate experience, be detail-oriented, highly organized, and have a genuine desire to go the extra mile for our customers. This is a fast-paced role in an ever-changing environment, so the ability to be flexible and adaptable is key to success. LOCATION: San Francisco, CA

Required 4 days per week in the office (Mon-Thurs). Please do not apply if this does not align with you.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze the value of single-family residential (SFR) and multifamily properties before and after renovation/construction.
  • Conduct research on real estate markets to provide a holistic view of target markets.
  • Analyze borrower experience and business plans.
  • Assist with Capital Markets efforts.
  • Review and analyze third-party valuations for accuracy and submit disputes as needed.
  • Review loan files for completeness, accuracy, and compliance and raise potential risks and concerns.
  • Communicate in a time-sensitive manner with Sales, Operations, Servicing, and
  • Capital Markets teams regarding suitability and risk of live and funded loans.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of investor guidelines and policies.
  • Provide feedback to improve the underwriting process.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Undertake ad hoc projects to help improve the team and business.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a Real Estate-related field.
  • 1-3 years of lending experience (prior real estate private lending experience a plus).
  • Prior real estate valuation experience (both single-family and multifamily preferred).
  • Property appraisal experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor or technical degree.
  • A demonstrated team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is willing
  • to roll up your sleeves to get things done.
  • Experience working with Excel spreadsheets and database software is a plus.
