Job Description

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Regulatory Compliance Manager - Underground Storage for our Houston, TX office.

Position Description:
The Regulatory Compliance Manager will be responsible providing regulatory compliance support for PHMSA Natural Gas and Hazardous Liquids Pipeline Operations as well as associated Underground Storage Facility Design & Operations, including Integrity Management. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 yrs experience in a leadership role in Regulatory Compliance. (All candidates: Please include a copy of your resume with your application.)

Individuals seeking this position will be required to have extensive knowledge of Federal 49 CFR 192 & 195 Code requirements, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) as well as state pipeline regulatory requirements including underground injection control. Other requirements include knowledge of PHMSA Pipeline and Underground Storage Integrity Regulation, RCT Rule 95, 96, 97 and Louisiana Underground Storage Rules, as well as NACE requirements for Cathodic Protection.
  • The candidate will be required to support field operations to ensure regulatory compliance, including coordination of and participation in Federal and State inspections.
  • Responsibilities will include support and development of Operations and Maintenance Manuals, Operator Qualification, Integrity Management Plans, as well as other regulatory required documentation.
  • Training of Field Operations personnel for regulatory compliance will also be required.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role within Regulatory Compliance
  • Knowledge of Federal 49 CFR 192 & 195 Code requirements
  • Knowledge of Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC)
  • Knowledge of state pipeline regulatory requirements including underground injection control
