San Francisco, United States Stripe Full time
Who we are
About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies-from the world's largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups-use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.
About the team

At Stripe, product development is an extremely collaborative effort between engineering, design, analytics, partnerships, legal, risk and go-to-market teams. You'd be joining a group of experienced Program Managers who have a track record of successfully building products and systems that are collectively impacting millions of users around the world.

The Money Movement and Storage organization builds products and core systems that are responsible for Stripe's money movement globally. We are looking for a senior Program Manager who's passionate about solving problems in the complex payments landscape, not only serving our customers but also our financial partner and regulator stakeholders.
What you'll do

As a Program Manager, you will play a key role leading programs working across multiple engineering, product and cross-functional (finance, legal, compliance, risk, and other) teams spanning Stripe. In this unique role, you will have the opportunity to drive the launch of features, support commercialization efforts in a product operations capacity, and support delivery of our priority-user requests. These efforts contribute to substantially increasing the money movement product reach and financial performance, as well as user satisfaction. In addition, you will have the opportunity to implement mechanisms that make your programs effective and scale them to edit Stripe-level processes.
Responsibilities
  • Drive launches of new products and functionality including beta launches. Relevant activities may include
    • Launch readiness planning and execution for complex and multiple product launches
    • Drive cross-functional activities with internal partners (Legal, Accounting, Treasury finance, Compliance, others) during product development and launch.
    • Drive continuous improvement of launch processes.
    • Keep stakeholders informed and on track against deadlines necessary to launch and scale products
    • Drive customer-facing communications during product launches and betas
    • Support recruitment and onboarding of beta users as part of commercialization efforts
    • Defining and executing mechanisms for product and engineering to manage customer-reported issues.
    • Facilitate education of go-to-market teams (including Sales, Account teams) on product features.
  • Support the delivery of priority-users requests. Relevant activities include
    • Define and execute the process for triaging and delivering emergent requests from our priority-users.
    • Work closely with product, engineering, go-to-market, and other internal partners (Legal, Accounting, Treasury finance, Compliance, others) to deliver the priority-user requests.
    • Work with product, and engineering to mitigate future related priority-user requests.
Who you are

We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Minimum requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in program/product management, product operations, strategy & ops, or related discipline.
  • You have a track record of providing solid program management during all phases of software development from kick-off to ship, and demonstrating critical thinking.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Operate independently and lead efforts across multiple teams and functions, with stakeholders in different disciplines.
  • Ability to understand how functionality comes together (across products) to deliver value for users, and identify/mitigate delivery risks proactively.
  • Experience of system and process design
  • Consistent track record of shipping products with broad/global customer impact.
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience in a global FinTech or payments organization of a global e-commerce company.
  • Experience with agile software development methodologies and productivity tools.
  • Experience with customer-facing product beta launches

It's not expected that any single candidate would have expertise across all of these areas-we're looking for candidates that are particularly strong in at least one area, and have some interest and capabilities in the others.
We look forward to hearing from you

At Stripe, we're looking for people with passion, grit, and integrity. You're encouraged to apply even if your experience doesn't precisely match the job description. Your skills and passion will stand out-and set you apart-especially if your career has taken some extraordinary twists and turns. At Stripe, we welcome diverse perspectives and people who think rigorously and aren't afraid to challenge assumptions. Join us.
