The R2R Senior Accountant will have responsibility for accounting, reporting and analysis of various U.S. fringe benefit accounting, including but not limited to - Corporate restructuring, deferred compensations, bonus accruals, Board of Directors accounting, savings plan accounting and certain pension support; and identifying areas opportunities for innovation or better process documentation.

Collaborate with multi-departmental stakeholders throughout Pfizer including the U.S. Benefits, Px Finance, OP&A, Controllers Treasury; other GBS teams.

Role Responsibilities

Maintain records, supporting files/documentation, complete/accurate work instructions, and necessary compliance documentation in an organized manner. Effectively communicate to peers and management with regards to work tasks and deadlines and identify issues proactively and communicate to manager along with potential range of solutions. Ensure activities are performed to a high standard of operational excellence, established service level agreements and deadlines are met, and adhere to defined process/control requirements. Engage directly with select business partners on routine activities and deliverables; develop relationships. Develop technical and business skills, ensuring effective and efficient use of time and competencies. Ensure strong commitment to the control environment through training and review to meet all control and compliance requirements. Participate in global initiatives including transformational projects as needed. Understand the functionality, interfaces and interdependencies of Pfizer’s financial processes and systems. Focus on continuous improvement in order to improve efficiencies and grow value add opportunities.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree in accounting or finance discipline required. Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required. Practical experience of US GAAP and Statutory Accounting/Experience of other GAAPs required. International experience seen as a plus. English proficiency required. CPA or international equivalent (ACCA) preferred; CPA eligibility required.

Preferred Qualifications

Masters or advanced degree is preferred. Public accounting experience strongly preferred. Advanced SAP & HFM experience strongly preferred.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $65,400.00 to $109,000.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 7.5% of the base salary.
