Raytheon is seeking a Principal Operations Quality Engineer providing engineering support and expertise to Raytheon Airborne Systems to ensure compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements. This position will provide education and knowledge on the use of quality resources in the administration of the Quality System. They will manage projects and/or processes with minimal oversight and provide measurable input to new products, processes, or standards in operational plans to implement customer integrations and/or objectives. The position works in a SCIF environment with flexible work hours to accommodate work/life balance practices.What You Will Do:Lead Quality functions within assigned work center(s) within the Airborne processLead and/or participate in Root Cause analysis and CORE initiativesManage Quality specific metrics within work centerBe a Leader among your peers as for Quality knowledge and processesActively pursue methods and process to improve overall Quality of our productQualifications you must have: Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of prior engineering experience.Experience with AS 9100 quality management systems or equivalent Previous quality engineering or manufacturing experienceThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Qualifications we prefer: Experience working with external suppliers and mechanical inspection techniques Previous experience leading cross-functional teams in failure analysis, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions Experience in supporting design and manufacturing processes and could work within a cross-functional team environmentAbility to work with internal and external customers in efforts to reducing and eliminating quality defects Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills Hands on use of statistical process controls for process monitoring, qualification and/or design feedback Familiar with lean manufacturing concepts Ability to effectively juggle multiple tasks and priorities. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
