In this role, you'll closely impactour military's testing facilitiesbyensuring new or renovated test facilities are in compliance with local, state, and federal codes regarding fire protection standards and regulations. What You'll Work On: Analyze, formulate, and recommend facility fire protection requirements, design, space criteria, and usage through space utilization studies and forecasts Lead analyses and solution development for facility planning and management for sensitive testing facilities Lead complex activities related to the control and management of cost, schedule, risk, and resource optimization Prepare or review facilities estimates and site proposals for client review as to cost and feasibility Adviseclients in developing plans and programs responsive to present and anticipated portfolio, facility, or individual fire protection requirements Recommend planning, design, and construction standards or milestones Join us. You Have: 7+ years of experience working in design, in a professional environment Knowledge of risks and safeguards that prevent, control, and mitigate the effects of fires Knowledge of design engineering of specialized systems, including wet systems, dry systems, pre-action systems, open and closed deluge systems, high-speed deluge systems, ultra-high speed deluge systems, mass notification, heat detection, smoke detection, beam detection, and fire alarms Knowledge of the International Building Code (IBC), Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), NFPA, ANSI, ASCE, and industry standards related to fire protection Knowledge of local, state, and federal codes and standards Ability to obtain a security clearance Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field Nice If You Have: Experience with MEP construction drawing sets Knowledge of life safety compliance within an energetic manufacturing environment Ability to support facility design services for repair projects or facility operations support Master's degree in Engineering NICET Certification Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
