As an Accounting Intern at Superior Bowen, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of financial management and accounting. This internship offers a structured learning environment where you will work closely with our experienced accounting team. You will play a vital role in supporting the department's day-to-day operations and gaining exposure to real-world accounting practices. This internship will be from May to August of 2024.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with Financial Transactions:
Record, categorize, and reconcile financial transactions in compliance with accounting standards.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Help with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and vendor/client communications.
Data Analysis:
Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, or opportunities for process improvement.
Bank Reconciliations:
Assist with bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial records.
General Administrative Tasks:
Perform various administrative tasks related to accounting, including filing, data entry, and document organization.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (must be enrolled in a degree program) with an interest in Construction is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record
A strong sense of integrity and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
