ENGINEER III - CIVIL Job Summary : An Engineer III will plan, execute and deliver diverse commercial, residential, retail, educational, and hospitality projects within the Civil Engineering Practice Area. He/she will establish long-term, meaningful relationships with clients focused on building multi-unit national footprints and integrate with their teams to help them design, manage and develop their brand. This position will report directly to the Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager. Duties/Responsibilities: Analyze long range plans, survey reports, maps, and other data in order to plan projects. Consider construction costs, government regulations, potential environmental hazards, and other factors in planning the stages of, and risk analysis for, a project. Compile and submit permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies, verifying that projects comply with various regulations. Provide cost estimates for materials, equipment, or labor to determine a project's economic feasibility. Work with clients and coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party consultants to deliver projects according to plan. Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Experience designing and permitting projects from start to finish. Proficiency in land development design including site grading, utility, and stormwater management design. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office. Proficiency in TR-20, XPSWMM, HEC-RAS, AutoTurn, and Agtek preferred. Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. (6-10) years of experience in land development design.
