Job Summary

The ACH Network Development department develops and maintains Nacha payment information solutions, including software services and payment information standards. Examples include the Phixius payment information network, Nachas ISO 20022-to-ACH Mapping Guide & Tool, and additional resources under development. Additionally, the department creates resources and engages the wider payment industry to promote greater ACH visibility and awareness. The Senior Director, ACH Network Development, will serve as the primary business-side lead for Nacha payment solutions, and other duties as assigned. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·      Serves as a subject matter expert for payment solutions.

·      Develops and communicates business requirements to the IT/development team.

·      Identifies opportunities for process improvement and solution innovation.

·      Executes priorities and ensures timely completion of deliverables.

·      Collaborates in marketing and sales strategy and lifecycles.

·      Creates strong customer and stakeholder relations.

·      Represents Nacha in identified industry collaborations. 

Contacts

·      Internal: Extensive collaboration with Associate Managing Director of Network Development, IT/development, legal, and communications teams. Works closely with Director of ACH Network Development to execute tasks and priorities. 

·      External: Extensive contact with network participants and key industry groups. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

•       Subject matter expertise in electronic payments and related commercial product development.

•       Deep understanding and experience with ACH payments.

•       Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) and/or Accredited Payments Risk Professional (APRP), and/or CTP preferred.

•       Proficiency in project management, and business-side aspects of Agile methodologies.

•       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and business stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

•       Excellent attention to detail.

•       Excellent written and verbal skills.

•       Initiative-taker with a well-developed aptitude for time management, leading, building, and participating in teams.

•       Ability to interact with others professionally and respectfully with diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.

•       Understand and contribute to the department’s strategic direction.

•       Ability to embrace and apply the association’s core values.

Required Background / Minimum Qualifications

College degree and minimum of 10 years’ demonstrated success with electronic payments product development experience.

Supervisory Responsibilities

None.

Working Conditions

Some domestic travel is likely (10-20%).

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing and light lifting of boxes may occur. This would require the ability to lift files/boxes, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
