About the Role

Reporting to the Director of IT, Systems, Networks, and Security, the Senior Network Engineer at XTM Inc./QRails Inc., you will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring the Company’ s networks including, without limitation, in particular:


What You’ll Be Doing

  1. Network Equipment Management: Oversee and maintain all network equipment including firewalls, load balancers, switches, and routers. Ensuring all systems are updated and running efficiently..
  2. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation for all networking systems. Ensure network documentation is continuously updated and accurate.
  3. Process Documentation: Maintain and update process documentation to ensure all procedures are current and efficient.
  4. Telecommunications: Manage internet, telco and cell phone services, including the maintenance of RingCentral systems.
  5. Physical Security Systems: Oversee the maintenance of physical security systems as required.
  6. Maintain software and hardware Licensing
  7. Maintain networking and related systems to ensure compliance with SOC, PCI and NIST Cybersecurity Frameworks.
  8. Assist with after-hours and on-call support.

What You Bring to the Table

  1. At least 5 years of experience in a Network Engineering role, with a strong background in network administration and security.
  2. Expert knowledge of network infrastructure and hardware including firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers.
  3. Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems.
  4. Ability to design robust networking architectures using Cisco technologies.
  5. Proven track record of managing large-scale projects.


You’ll Get Bonus Points For

  1. Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent.
  2. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) in one or more domains (Routing and Switching, Security, Wireless, etc.) as a foundational qualification.
  3. Deep understanding of network security protocols and methodologies
  4. Previous experience in fintech or a related Finance industry is a plus.
  5. Experience with Azure / AWS and related cloud services.
