Accounting Manager Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and cost accounting.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • The Accounting Manager will prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Coordinate and manage the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Perform variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance to senior management.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll and tax reporting.
  • Monitor and enhance internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • The Accounting manager will lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives and initiatives.
  • Manage external audits and liaise with auditors to ensure successful audit outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications of the Accounting Manager

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role within the manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and standard costing.
  • The Accounting Manager is proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
Starting Salary $85,000
