SUMMARY Our high school is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to serve as Athletic Director/Assistant Principal. This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in athletic administration and educational leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our athletic programs, as well as providing support to the principal in the day-to-day operations of the school. POSITION: Athletic Director/Assistant Principal BUILDING: Eaton Rapids High School DATE OF AVAILABILITY: 2024/2025 School Year Athletic Director (High School and Middle School): Prior coaching experience strongly desired Personnel supervision experience strongly desired Familiarity with MHSAA rules, policies and regulations required Experience with budget and financial management procedures Experience with event management and supervision, including coordination of staff and volunteers Demonstrated leadership skills and experiences Demonstrated skills in human relations; an ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders Ability to provide constructive staff supervision, evaluation and development Experience with community/business outreach, partnerships, marketing and branding Ability to supervise student participation and promote sportsmanship at school events Well versed in the appropriate use of social media applications for communication and promotion Skilled in technology use, including, but not limited to, website development and maintenance, automated cameras, live streaming, electronic scoreboards, sound systems, and digital signage. Assistant Principal (High School): Must possess a valid K-12 Administrative certification Three years (3) classroom teaching experience and administrative experience desired Must support, participate, and provide leadership in the school’s efforts to create a positive school climate and the promotion of appropriate student behavior Ability to play an active role in the administration of state and local assessments Keep informed of and comply with state, district and school regulations, procedures, and policies Familiarity and skills with job related computer applications Must possess superlative oral and written communication skills and demonstrate the willingness to maintain/facilitate frequent communication with parents, staff, students, volunteers and coaches. Compile, maintain and file all reports, records and other required documents Skill in effective decision-making and problem-solving Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize, follow timelines and identify needed resources Student Activities Director (High School): Knowledge of, or willingness to learn about, student organizations and clubs including but not limited to MSBOA, FIRST Robotics, Youth In Government, MSVMA, MHSEL (or other E-Sports organizations), FFA, and Student Council.
