How you'll make an impact:
  • Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. (daily start/end times can be slightly flexible)
  • Plan and implement a recruitment marketing and employer branding strategy to attract high-quality applicants.
  • Plan and manage recruitment media campaigns.
  • Practices critical thinking and decision-making skills when faced with challenges to offer recommended solutions to obstacles.
  • Identify the tactics and platforms that are most effective in reaching a specified target audience.
  • Proactively analyzes reporting to identify data trends to continuously optimize the strategy.
  • Manage ongoing advertising requests for high-need recruiting markets and positions.
  • Plan, create and send strategic emails and text messages to recruits for high need positions or locations in high need markets.
  • Update content on AverittCareers.com to ensure the site has the most up to date information.
  • Create engaging job descriptions.
  • Collaborate with a team of associates to develop and execute communication plans to target specific recruitment audiences, including minorities, military veterans, females, and high school/middle school students.
  • Communicate regularly with HR and Recruiting team to get a clear view of the company's hiring needs and organizational goals and develop creative ways for addressing recruitment challenges.
  • Work directly with in-house graphic designers to create and update marketing materials.
  • Facilitate day-to-day communication with site leadership, field recruiters, human resources, as well as Averitt's recruitment marketing agency.
  • Suggest new ideas for improving the candidate experience and engagement.
  • Research marketing and advertising trends in the transportation industry.

  • You collaborate across the department, partner with the Recruiting team and work with external agencies and vendors to make big things happen.
  • You're a great storyteller and writer and can create content from blogs to emails to videos yourself as well as enlist internal and external expertise.
  • You develop a deep understanding of your target audience to ensure your messaging hits home.
  • You've organized campaigns, programs and events from strategy to execution that build brand awareness and generate qualified leads.
  • You love to try new technology that can improve your processes and results.
  • You've had a career in Recruiting, Human Resources, Marketing or Advertising, and now you're ready to become a Recruitment Marketing Specialist.

Job Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED. College degree and/or experience in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, English or human resources is preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Prior experience in or willingness to be trained in social media management, , project management, recruiting and basic design software (Hootsuite, Tenstreet, Canva, etc.)
