Financial Education Specialist

As a Financial Education Specialist at Publix Employees Federal Credit Union (PEFCU), you will spearhead our financial education initiatives designed to enhance the financial literacy and well-being of our members and individuals within our communities. Your role will encompass delivering engaging in-person workshops, managing and optimizing our online education platform, and leading all reporting efforts to measure the program impact. You will develop high-quality financial education content across various formats, ensuring our members and individuals in our communities have access to valuable resources and support.

What you will do...
  • Design and implement comprehensive financial education programs tailored to meet the needs of diverse member and community groups.
  • Conduct in-person and virtual workshops, seminars, and presentations on various financial topics, such as budgeting, saving, investing, and credit management.
  • Oversee the credit union's online financial education platform, ensuring it is user-friendly, up-to-date, and engaging.
  • Compile and analyze data related to financial education initiatives, including participation rates, member feedback, and program impact.
  • Prepare detailed reports for internal stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommendations for future initiatives.
  • Create high-quality, relevant financial education content for a variety of formats, including print materials, digital content, and social media.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to ensure content is aligned with the credit union's brand and outreach strategies.
  • Foster strong relationships within the community and within our Select Employee Group to build trust and encourage participation in educational programs.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with local schools, community organizations, and other external entities to expand the reach and impact of financial education programs.
  • Monitors financial literacy tools, technology and trends to ensure PEFCU's financial education program is current.
  • Responsible for monitoring, assessing, and reviewing the overall program for effectiveness through reporting and analysis, feedback and observation.
  • Develop and manage reward or incentive programs for engagement within the educational platform and program.
What you need...
  • 3-5 years relevant experience creating and managing financial education programs
  • Bachelor's degree of equivalent experience
  • Ability to travel frequently, in the Southeast, to deliver training
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to articulate financial information in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Passionate about creating and sharing knowledge for increasing the financial literacy of program participants.
  • Driven by the mission and desire to increase financial literacy in the community.
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts, including budgeting, saving, investing, credit management, home buying, etc.
  • Experience in designing and delivering engaging and informative content for educational programs or workshops.
