Here, you are part of a company that rewards your contributions and encourages you to take ownership of your career.Job DescriptionDI Production ManagerObjectiveWithin our manufacturing business, the role of Production Manager is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all production for the assigned shift and department. This role requires the candidate to be familiar with the overall operation and production requirements for all roles assigned to the department as well as quality and documentation standards. The production supervisor may be required to operate equipment as needed to maintain the overall production goals. Our customers rely on our Production team to produce high quality materials that meet their most demanding applications.Essential Job FunctionsDrive production output to meet production goals and suggest/implement new ways to improve efficiency and increasing throughputDocument any production issues, completed production, and other pertinent information to be passed to oncoming shiftAssign available personnel as required to meet production and/or current schedule neOperate machinery as required depending on departmental assignment.Understand production logs and associated documentation as well as required material usage reportingUnderstand all functions of the machine, set-up, balancing, size changes and fine tuning of qualityPower up/down machinesCorrectly document or log out daily production at the end of shiftSetup or change over the machine from a previous job to perform the requirements of a new jobMinimize waste by adjusting machineComply with lock out/tag out rulesMonitor and ensure compliance with all safety standardsConduct and document shift and/or department specific safety meetingsCorrectly use PPE, Safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection or other as requiredSafely operate forklifts and pallet jacks in a crowded environmentSecure all equipment and building at completion of the shiftPerform other duties as assigned by SupervisorRequirementsHigh school diploma is required, post-high school education is preferredMinimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing work environment preferredMinimum of 5 years supervisory experience is requiredMinimum supervising a group of 25 or more peoplePrior forklift experience is requiredProven track record of good attendance and being on time according to work scheduleBasic mathematical and computer skills requiredBasic competence with MS office suitePhysical RequirementsThe work is performed in non-climate-controlled environment with moderate noise level. This job frequently requires the employee to stand; walk; use hands.; balance; stoop; kneel; push; pull; reach overhead; read; talk or hear. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.
