Job Summary:

The HR Generalist coordinates and administers a variety of programs and activities covering multiple HR functions. Most responsibilities can be categorized into two broad areas:

Corporate Functions -

  • Provide HR support, advice and services to management and employees.
  • Manage domestic relocation program.
  • Conduct new employee orientation, onboarding and records maintenance for corporate office new hires.
  • Manage service awards program.
  • Manage leaves of absence (FMLA) for corporate office.
  • Corporate administrator of E-Verify and I-9's.
  • Oversee and administer vendor relations for drug testing, background/criminal history checking, employee public transportation program, employee poster program and wellness initiatives.
  • Manage setup and functionality of HRIS (UKG Pro) Onboarding and Recruiting systems.
  • Regularly perform and report on compliance audits within UKG Recruiting and Onboarding modules.
  • Update employee status changes in HRIS for corporate office personnel.
  • Maintain and administer HR intranet pages.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Train, advise, and consult with field HR in -
  • Trains users on HRIS Recruiting and Onboarding.
  • Managing HRIS Recruiting and Onboarding.
  • Entering, updating and maintaining employee status changes in HRIS.


Qualifications:

  1. Strong verbal and written communication.
  2. Strong business acumen and the ability to create and demonstrate the value of HR for the business.
  3. Work independently with general supervision.
  4. Influences others through explanation of facts, policies and practices.
  5. At least two years HR experience.
  6. Ability to handle confidential information with great sensitivity.
  7. Good reasoning abilities, sound judgment.
  8. Solid computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Experience with UKG Pro a plus.
  9. Experience in legal compliance with various laws and regulations covering areas such as EEOC, FMLA, employment, wage and hour, etc.
  10. Willingness to continue learning and growing to promote further within Alsco.


Education:

- Bachelor's degree in HR or related field preferred.

- HR certification preferred.

Travel Requirements:

- Little to no travel

Office Location:

This position is officed at Alsco's corporate office in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is not a remote position.

Typical Environmental Conditions: Office

Physical Requirements:
