Swedish Health Services Senior Patient Financial Counselor Location: Edmonds, Washington The Senior Patient Financial Counselor is responsible for insurance and eligibility verifications and assessment of financial requirements of recommended treatments including, but not limited to, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, office visits, integrated supportive care services, and other cancer-related therapy or services. The Senior Patient Financial Counselor counsels the patient on insurance benefits, co-payments, and out-of-pocket expenses. Required Qualifications: Associate's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent education/experience. An equivalent combination of training and experience. 2 years of prior background in a healthcare setting of billing, financial counseling, or financial advocacy with proficiency in medical terminology. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. Why Join Providence?
