We are looking for a dedicated Occupational Therapist PRN like you to be a part of our team.Job Summary and QualificationsThe Occupational Therapist carries out individualized therapy programs including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication to maximize a patient's progress toward achieving functional goals. The OTR supervises therapy assistants, aides and students. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you, who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.What you will do in this role: You will perform comprehensive patient assessments and establish appropriate treatment goals and programs for patients in Acute care, Inpatient Rehab, and/or Outpatient.You will coordinate the treatment program with other clinical/therapeutic services.You will develop comprehensive goals for treatment to maximize patient outcomes.You will deliver care and modify the care plan in accordance with the patient’s needs.You will serve as an educator to patients, families, students and colleagues. What qualifications you will need:Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateBachelors Degree must be obtained within 90 days of employment start dateRegistered Occupational Therapist (ROT), or Occupational Therapy (OT)This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).Lee's Summit Medical Center is an 80+ bed full-service hospital.
