Job Summary

Creative Speech Solutions, a leading pediatric therapy center, is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist at CSS, you will play a vital role in providing expert care to children with a wide range of diagnoses and abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify children's strengths and challenges
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development
  • Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions to children in a school-based setting
  • Collaborate with speech therapists, school therapists, and teachers to ensure comprehensive care
  • Write detailed reports and progress notes to track children's progress
  • Develop and implement home exercise programs to support children's continued growth and development
Requirements
  • Master's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Satisfactory completion of Certification Examination of National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapists (Maintenance of registration required)
  • NJ State License and NJ BOE School Certificate
  • Minimum of two years of work experience in pediatric private practice and/or school setting
  • Experience in treating sensory processing disorders, motor planning difficulties, decreased strength, and gross motor skills, as well as visual motor and fine motor skills
  • Certification or continuing education in The Listening Program, Handwriting Without Tears, Visual Processing disorders, splints
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Patience, persistence, and ability to work independently and as an integral part of a team
