HR/Payroll Assistant: Growing hospital HR Department needing a full-time general HR and payroll assistant. Mostly Monday-Friday position, may include occasional holiday depending on payroll needs. Reports to the HR Director. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties
- Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)
- General office duties including but not limited to filing, making copies, taking phone calls, checking department messages, and preparing mailings.
- Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations etc)
- Assist with HR projects (meetings, training, benefit enrollments, etc)
- Answer routine HR questions and furnishes general HR information.
- Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, benefit issues, rules, and regulations, etc.
- Assist in payroll preparation
- Assist with on-boarding of newly hired employees
- Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all information and employee records
- Attention to detail
- Flexible and able to multitask
- Prefer prior HR experience
- Basic knowledge of labor laws
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong communications skills
- Strong Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word skills
