This position focuses on providing high quality and spec-compliant engineering deliverables and plays an active role in the development of new products, while ensuring timely and thorough responses to customers, in-house manufacturing plant and suppliers. The Director stays aware of emerging technologies, drives continuous engineering excellence, process improvements, and strengthens the overall organization. This position includes customer interaction and provides advice and support to business unit management. This position possesses a strong technical and business vision and the ability to foster innovation and adhere to schedules and technical principles. The Director fosters cross functional partnerships and collaboration to meet and exceed financial goals. The Director develops compliance and operational processes to support risk mitigation and to align with our quality program. Specific pollution control equipment is preferred. 10 years of technical work function and communicating directly with customers. Solid understanding of SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software; preferred Familiarity with metal fabrication specifications a plus. Demonstrated problem solving experience, including managing processes and teams performing product failure analysis / root cause analysis. Six Sigma and Lean experience is preferred. Project management experience is a plus. MS Office Suite; required. LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS: PE or other certifications a plus.
