Vaco has partnered with a client for a Director of Sales & Marketing opportunity on the Northwest side of Indianapolis, IN. The Director of Sales & Marketing will be required to work onsite at the company's corporate office in Indianapolis.
Responsibilities:
Proactively provide input, advice, and suggestions to senior management in an effort to improve the overall sales and marketing efforts of the company.
Hire new sales team members when directed by senior management in order to increase or replace sales team member staffing levels. Provide coaching, mentoring, training, and professional development opportunities to the sales team members
Establish a formal training program and oversee the training of all new sales team members and will promote the various aspects of the "Sales Team Member Expectations".
Set goals for individual sales team members in an effort to assist them to exceed minimum sales quotas and shall establish a structure for monitoring and enabling the attainment of those goals.
Coordinate a weekly meeting with the current external marketing firm in an effort to maximize marketing efforts based on input from the sales team and senior management.
Set in place a cadenced account review process and a client-visit travel schedule for all sales team members that encourages and improves the relationship of the company with its existing and potential clients.
Supervision given : Every member of the sales team will report to the Director of Sales and Marketing. This person will also oversee a 3rd party who handles the social media and marketing efforts for the company
Supervision received:
This person will report directly to the company CEO
Qualifications:
Previous experience leading a sales team
Must have experience with hiring, coaching, mentoring, and training employees in a sales organization
Previous experience in B2B sales
Ability to establish a system of metrics and hold people accountable to those minimum requirements
Ability to devise and implement strategic initiativesto grow sales and increase marketing reach
Excellent customer service skills

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
licensure and certification requirements;
office location and other geographic considerations;
other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
