Job Description

Atlantic Health System is seeking a per-diem Patient Access Representative for the Patient Access Department at Newton Medical Center, to work flexible shifts, including every other weekend.

Summary:

The Patient Access Representative (PAR) plays a vital role in the patient and family experience, serving as an initial point of contact within our health system. Additionally, the registration activities including securing accurate information, interpreting and communicating patient responsibility and accurate patient identification are essential for the financial and operational success of the organization. The PAR is expected to greet customers with a smile and address customers by name in a courteous, respectful and professional manner; and attempts to resolve customer questions and concerns. Ideal candidates will be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, meet shift expectations and handle challenging customers.

Qualifications

Required:
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
Preferred:
  • Customer service experience
  • Applicable experience within Revenue Cycle
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience, preferably EPIC.
  • Any legally/reasonably expected certifications needed for function and level

Since 1932, Newton Medical Center has been providing care to the people of Sussex and warren counties in New Jersey, Pike County in Pennsylvania and southern Orange County in New York.
