MMC's Service department is the largest mechanical service department in Minnesota. Our project managers manage large portfolios of "complicated" buildings. MMC prides itself on building strong customer relationships. As a HVAC Service Coordinator, you will be responsible for helping to deliver effective, efficient, and timely delivery of MMC's services to multiple customers within an assigned geographic territory. You will be working on a team and will be the daily contact that develops strong lasting customer relations with our technicians and our clients.

MMC is looking for a motivated, highly driven, customer-focused candidate to fill a critical service coordination role in our Service Department. This person will be involved in the labor management of over 94 mobile service technicians and 19 project managers. This is a fast paced, customer service-oriented environment where you will be an integral part of our Service team.

Job Specifics:

  • Dispatch Responsibilities:
    • Support dispatch duties
      • Create service orders.
      • General dispatch and scheduling of service technicians.
      • Speak with customers to take care of their needs.
    • Work to create and maintain a MMC standard service request procedure.
    • Maintain shared daily dispatch email and phone line.
    • Manage incoming service orders from the field and project managers.
    • Maintain dispatch afterhours call list of available technicians.
    • 8 hour shift between 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (shift to be determined depending on coverage and employee schedule)
    • Assist Project Managers by equipping field crew members with required data for daily job tasks.
    • Monitor the status of MMC's field labor force.
    • As time allows, provide admin support for the Service Project Managers
  • MMC Technology:
    • Ability to become a "super user" in using our internal service software technology.
    • Be focused and contribute to the continuous improvement of MMC Service Department processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • 2 Years of successful experience in a customer service role/position.
  • Exceptional customer service experience and skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness and ability to learn dispatch software systems and the mechanical service business quickly.
  • Intermediate skills with MS Office Products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Past experience with mechanical company or dispatch experience preferred.
  • Strong phone and active listening skills
