Typical Duties Include:
  • Perform and/or conduct hydrologic analysis, hydraulic analysis, and water quality analysis of open channel and/or closed conduit stormwater collection systems for large and small-scale development projects and watersheds.
  • Preparation and review of one- and two-dimensional hydrologic/hydraulic models, FEMA CLOMR/LOMR applications, documents and exhibits and drainage reports.
  • Ability to effectively interpret and communicate model input parameters, assumptions and results with an understanding of how to apply a level of engineering judgement to troubleshoot model anomalies.
  • Ability to design site-specific best management practices (BMPs) to achieve permitting requirements including conventional, low impact development, green infrastructure and stormwater volume control BMPs.
  • Ability to perform opinions of construction costs for stormwater related projects, including open/closed system drainage rehabilitation, canals and flood control structures.
  • Preferred - Ability to use HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, ICPR, XPSWMM, ArcMap, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and MS Office
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience
  • An understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic principles
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or discipline
  • EIT registration strongly preferred
  • Ability to obtain Professional Engineer License within one year of hire strongly preferred
Skills:
  • Must demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and organization skills.
  • Must be willing to work in a in a team setting with great communication skills.
  • Ability to learn various software programs.
