The ideal candidate will have a technical interest in water and wastewater pump stations and pipelines, treatment, water resources or utility management. As an intern, you'll assist with projects through planning, design, and construction phases, including gravity sanitary sewers and force mains, water distribution and transmission pipelines, water and wastewater pump stations and treatment, planning studies, and related infrastructure projects.

You'll provide hydrologic/hydraulic modeling support for stormwater improvement projects, master plans, flood studies, and similar water resource management projects. Additional duties may include supporting civil engineers, utilities management staff, and technical staff in other disciplines and sections, completing technical analysis, writing reports and technical memos, coordinating with subconsultants, and maintaining project schedules and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with project planning, design, and construction phases
  • Provide hydrologic/hydraulic modeling support for stormwater improvement projects
  • Support civil engineers, utilities management staff, and technical staff in other disciplines and sections
  • Complete technical analysis, write reports and technical memos, and coordinate with subconsultants
  • Maintain project schedules and budgets

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a BS or MS in Civil or Environmental Engineering or similar program
  • Coursework in watershed management, hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, and water resources
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
