Job Details Job Location Hollister Whitney (O) - Quincy, IL Description Duties and Responsibilities A Typical Day May Include Interact with suppliers regarding scrap reduction initiatives, on-time delivery performance, PPAP submissions, etc. Help create and implement a training program for new employees regarding basic engineering print training and proficiency using quality related tools such as calipers, micrometers, and various gauges used in the manufacturing plant. Maintain and control calibration records for all test equipment. Work with the manufacturing engineering team to review, revise, and create job instructions as necessary and then review and train applicable employees on the job instruction after completion. Work closely with department supervisors to resolve day-to-day quality issues on the production floor as they arise. Willing to learn how to program and operate a CMM. Interact with manufacturing and design team to launch new products for production. Support all other departments as necessary. Other duties may be assigned. Lead QA initiatives in Production. Lead customer corrective action process. Develop and maintain necessary QA documentation. Qualifications We are searching for a candidate with: A BS or AS in a technical or engineering field or equivalent experience preferred. Familiarity with typical machine shop manufacturing processes. 3+ years of experience in a quality engineering role. Familiarity with the APQP process including DFMEA, PFMEA, Controls Plans, etc. Familiarity with root cause analysis techniques. Familiarity with ISO 9001 and its implementation. Green Belt certification is a plus. Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. Familiarity with quality tools such as capability studies, control charts, cause and effect diagrams, etc. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to read and understand technical reports and specifications dealing with product design requirements. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
