Responsibilities: Implement environmental compliance plans - federal, state and local regulations (Title V, SWPPP, SPCC, RCRA, etc.) Participate and/or direct on-site inspections to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations, and corporate environmental policies and guidelines. Manage the site's recordkeeping requirements. Routinely update Environmental Management System (EMS) Manage and schedule waste transportation and disposal in accordance with regulations. Maintain productive relationships with plant personnel and regulatory agency personnel. Responsible for successfully communicating and executing company policies, programs, and procedures. Ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize. Work with outside consultants, contractors, and other resources. Support staff at other company locations in the Western United States. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies, Environmental Sciences, Geology, Biology, Engineering, or related field required Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental compliance areas including air (Title V), solid waste/hazardous materials management, radiation detection systems, and water quality management in a heavy industrial environment. General knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations and a familiarity with heavy industrial operations. Ability to travel up to 10%. Excellent writing and computer skills including email and Microsoft software products (e.g., Word, Excel, & PowerPoint). Able to clearly communicate expectations, issues and feedback.
