Job Description:
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Provides
face-to-face/telehealth
crisis response/assessment services. Responsible for assisting in the day-to day operations of the Crisis team. Provides support and supervision to Crisis staff. Assists department leadership in the development of services including mobile crisis and crisis diversion services. Assists clients with linkages to community resources. Serves as back-up for staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct line supervision of Crisis staff – Mobile Crisis Peers, Crisis Specialists, and other members of the team.
Helps department leadership in the development of client services to include mobile crisis services and crisis diversion services.
Provides resources and linkages to area resources for individuals in need of Mental Health and Substance Use Services as well as follow up services.
Triage and coordination of incoming calls/runs.
Assist with onboarding and training of new staff.
Coordinate with program manager to schedule staff and coverage of shifts.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.
Knowledge of community resources.
Skilled in customer service techniques.
Documentation must be completed in a timely manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field from a four-year college or university preferred. Experience working and/or volunteering within the behavioral health field, criminal justice, or social services field will be considered in place of non-social work (or related field) degree.
Years of Experience
Two years of related work or related college experience regarding substance use, recovery, crisis work, social work, or social services field preferred.
