**Description**

This position is responsible for maintaining, monitoring and auditing trade compliance processes for Bunzl entities involved in international trade. The primary focus for this position will be to support U.S. Bunzl legal entities. The Trade Compliance Analyst will ensure compliance with all company policies related to import and export compliance, proactively develop process improvements based on audit findings, and work with multiple different Customs Brokers within North America.

**_Responsibilities:_**

+ Manage the import products databases for Bunzl International Services.

+ Manage the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications of imported items to ensure proper financial accounting of Customs tariffs and fees with U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP).

+ Manage pre and/or post entry auditing processes for Bunzl International Services imports.

+ Analyze and report on metrics of Importer Security Filings (ISF) and Customs Brokerage key performance indicators for Bunzl International Services.

+ Assure proper maintenance of recordkeeping requirements.

+ Coordinate with Trade Compliance team members on compliance related projects across multiple Bunzl entities.

+ Participate on Bunzl cross-company teams to continuously improve trade compliance.

+ Serve as a resource to the Trade Compliance Specialist on ISF filings and Customs Broker communication when transaction volume is high.

+ Stay up to date on any U.S., Canadian or Mexican regulation changes that affect import and export compliance and keep relevant Bunzl entities informed of such changes.

+ Manage Free Trade Agreement certificate solicitation projects as needed.

**_Requirements:_**

+ High School diploma required

+ Bachelors Degree in Business or Legal related field; or equivalent experience.

+ Experience with reading and interpreting government regulations.

+ Experience with classifying commodities with a U.S. Harmonized Tariff Schedule number.

+ Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience monitoring and reporting KPI metrics.

+ Willingness to attend continuing education seminars and classes focused on Trade Compliance.

+ Ability to communicate effectively with persons of differing responsibility levels.

+ Experience working with U.S. Customs Brokers.

+ 10 20% travel may be required at times.

+ Ability and willingness to work toward Customs Broker License or Certified Customs Specialist designation.

+ Audit international trade transactions for compliance.

+ Experience working with predominantly Asian imports into the U.S.

+ Work with web based Global Trade Management systems.

+ Experience training others on Trade Compliance topics.
