$118,170 to $197,500

JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Director, Project Management will lead the Project Management (PM) teams for North America developing and directing the strategic planning of projects on assigned projects.

The focus will be

driving the efficiency and consistency of these teams and

leading and developing our processes and people in achieving WCG business goals. This role will be responsible for the management leadership and process oversight of the PM teams, to ensure consistency in meeting customers' deliverables This role will partner and be a resource with Business Development, Project Governance and other key stakeholders.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSE/REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS:

Project Management Professional preferred or other Project Management Certifications or Training (PRINCE 2, LLS, etc;)
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the life sciences industry with progressive experience working in a leadership role at a CRO or pharmaceutical company.
Minimum of 7 years of Project Management experience in life sciences.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive management experience, including leading managers of people.

Experience in managing a team or department and leading effectively within a matrix management environment.
Client Management experience required.
Experience with content management in a regulated environment and knowledge of clinical research (GCP, CFR Part 11, basic regulatory requirements) required.
Experience writing and managing SOPs and the ability and desire to set up structures and processes when needed.
Must have patience to work with other systems (e.g., financial) that are being developed and a willingness to get involved in operational details.
Must have flexibility to assume a general leadership position and be team orientated.
Proven experience collaborating inter departmentally
Proven record of customer service focus
Must have strong experience managing projects for external clients.
Strong analytical skills and ability to develop creative and innovative solutions needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accountable for the oversight of a portfolio of assigned projects ensuring appropriate prioritization of the project portfolio is met with management of assigned regional Directors. Accountable for project results, driving decision-making, directing staff, and interfacing with external stakeholders.
To build, organize, and create a best-in-class Project Management organization, to meet the clinical and technical needs of our external and internal clients/business within area of scope. Collaborate with global, cross-functional project teams to define project scope, deliverables, responsibilities and timelines.
Through leadership of the assigned teams, drive to meet business strategy, goals, strategic objectives and growth in area of responsibility.
Identify and implement opportunities to align organizational structure with strategy to support productive growth.
Collaborate and partner with Business Development, providing support and insight for business development activities.
Lead change management activities, driving change through teams, providing support and guidance as needed.
Provide leadership for the Project Management and support teams.
In partnership with project management team members define and implement metrics to track progress, as well as working practices to ensure required outcomes to clients.
Identify opportunities and provide direction to improve the quality of operational delivery.
Define, implement, track, and report on financial performance, operational delivery, productivity, and quality metrics for the Project Management
Identify opportunities, develop recommendations, and implementation strategies for continuous process optimization.
Lead process optimization activities as assigned in collaboration with other functions in support of WCG Clinical Endpoint Solutions Goals and Objectives.
Oversee the review of proposal and budgets for accuracy and appropriate content.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations to stay abreast of clinical project management methods and industry trends.
Identify areas of growth, by understanding the business climate and the company's opportunities.
In partnership with the project management team oversee and create policies, SOPs, and other controlled documents.
Provide leadership, coaching, skill building and professional development for the assigned project management team members.
Work independently across multiple stakeholder groups, identify, and manage decisions and escalations to senior leadership. Drive regional team operational cohesiveness via a coordinated, consistent, and collaborative approach to client delivery and satisfaction.
Focus on regional team employee engagement through a coordinated effort focused on development, skill building, communication, and employee satisfaction.
Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position.
