Join our motivated team with great growth opportunities.This intimate-retreat property is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Sales Manager to join our esteemed hospitality team. An ideal candidate for this role will be a cross-seller in all market segmentations, with an emphasis in Entertainment, Group, and Business Travel. Candidates connected to Hollywood/West Hollywood markets preferred. The Aster functions as both a hotel and a membership club, so any candidatewith experience in Membership sales would be a plus. This role is the sole leader for the salesdepartment with full oversight on all financial responsibilities and leadership over one direct report.Key Responsibilities:•Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and maximizemarket penetration. Analyze market trends, identify opportunities for growth, and adaptstrategies accordingly.•Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including corporate accounts, eventplanners, travel agencies, and other stakeholders. Serve as the primary point of contact forclients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and effectively.•Drive business development initiatives to expand our client base and revenue streams. Identifyand pursue new business opportunities through networking, prospecting, and attendingindustry events.•Collaborate with marketing teams to develop compelling sales collateral, presentations, andproposals. Ensure all materials effectively communicate the value proposition of our hospitalityservices and offerings.•Monitor sales performance against targets, analyze sales data, and generate regular reports forsenior management. Provide insights and recommendations to optimize sales processes anddrive continuous improvement.•Lead contract negotiations with clients to secure profitable deals while ensuring alignment withcompany objectives and policies. Negotiate terms and conditions that maximize value for bothparties.•Collaborate closely with other departments including operations, finance, membership,programming and events, to ensure seamless execution of client requirements and deliverexceptional service.Qualifications•Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management within the hospitality industry, with aproven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.•Strong sales skill set with the ability to creatively strategize to meet goals.•Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.•In-depth knowledge of the hospitality industry, including market trends, competitors, andcustomer preferences.•Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.•Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.•Willingness to travel as needed.•Systems: Knowledge or experience with Triple Seat, Stay in Touch, Travel click, Tour Connectionand Cvent.•Must be able to understand and apply complex information, data, etc. from various sources tomeet appropriate objectives.•Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.•Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.•Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employeesand guests.•Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.•Attend all club and hotel required meetings and training.•Participate in weekend and evening coverage as required.This description excludes non-essential and marginal functions of the position that are incidental to theperformance of the fundamental job duties.
