Procurement System Specialist | Purchasing

Organization Overview:
The Purchasing Department is responsible for the cost-effective and expeditious procurement of goods and services to support the scientific and administrative endeavors of The Rockefeller University. The Rockefeller University Purchasing Department,along with the Receiving and Stockroom Departments,help ensure that the equipment,supply,and service needs of the University are accomplished in a professional manner that also adheres to all legal requirements and best business practices.
Overview:
The Procurement System Specialist oversees and maintain current procurement applications.
Responsibilities:Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Creates and maintains custom reports on an as-needed basis
- Collaborates with IT Support and Development teams on various projects, upgrades, enhancements, or troubleshooting
- Addresses and resolves eProcurement user issues, ensuring follow-up on solutions
- Supports various projects as directed by the Procurement Director
- Manages user account creation and maintenance
- Has proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Possess strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to work independently when necessary
- Demonstrates willingness to learn and contribute to departmental growth
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to work independently when necessary

Self-driven and team oriented individual
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with ERP systems (Oracle EBS preferred)
- Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases
- Familiarity or experience with dashboard creation, particularly using Tableau

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on various factors, including but not limited to organizational budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The hiring range provided represents The Rockefeller University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Compensation Range: Min:USD $63,000.00/Yr.
Compensation Range: Max:
USD $65,000.00/Yr.
