A prominent manufacturing company in the Metro Detroit area is seeking a Sales Manager to join their team. This pivotal role involves optimizing our e-commerce channels, developing effective sales strategies, and managing relationships with key online accounts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in e-commerce sales, a deep understanding of digital marketing, and the ability to drive revenue growth through online platforms.Key Responsibilities:E-commerce Strategy: Manage and optimize our e-commerce platforms, including our company website and third-party marketplaces. Monitor online sales performance, analyze data, and make data-driven decisions to enhance results. Collaborate closely with the marketing and digital teams to drive online traffic, improve conversion rates, and enhance the overall online customer experience.Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key e-commerce accounts. Develop and execute account-specific strategies to drive sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of products and exceptional customer service.New Business Development: Identify and target new e-commerce account prospects. Develop and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create customized solutions that meet customer needs. Conduct extensive online research to understand marketing and sales strategies from major e-commerce retailers.Sales Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute innovative sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets. Create and maintain a robust sales pipeline, tracking progress and identifying opportunities for growth. Collaborate with the marketing team to create successful product campaigns and channel appropriate promotional events.Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Analyze sales data and market trends to create accurate sales forecasts. Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market insights, and customer behavior. Provide actionable recommendations for continuous improvement based on data analysis.Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate contracts and agreements with e-commerce partners. Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and agreements.Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in e-commerce sales, preferably in the manufacturing industry. Strong understanding of e-commerce sales strategies, digital marketing, and management of product pages on various online platforms. Experience with third-party marketplaces and familiarity with Amazon Seller Central is highly desirable. Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends. Innovative and forward-thinking, capable of developing creative solutions to drive online sales growth. Willingness to travel for trade shows, client meetings, and industry events as needed.
