Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and customer/patient-focused individual to join our Patient Services team within our Multi-specialty office. In this role, you will support patients over the phone in their scheduling needs via inbound calls. We strive for first-call resolution for appointment scheduling, canceling, rescheduling, patient registration, and documentation in accordance with patient privacy and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls in a timely and professional manner. The successful candidate will take an average of 50-70 calls per day in a typical 8-hour day. 
  • This role is not patient facing, it will be all back-end duties.
  • Schedule appointments and update patient records.
  • Assist with patient inquiries and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
  • Identify patients’ needs, clarify information, research every issue, and provide solutions and/or alternatives.
  • Document all call information according to standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information.

Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience in a call center environment. 
  • Prior healthcare experience preferred.
  • Prior EMR experience. EPIC experience preferred.
  • Previous healthcare experience 
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical Terminology Training 

Details: 

  • Pay: $18 - $20/hr. based on related experience
  • Pay cycle – weekly | medical, dental & vision benefits offered
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:15am – 4:45pm (40 hours per week)
  • Onsite position – Wilton, CT
