Position Objective

Lead a team of Material Integrators and Strategic Sourcing personnel. Identify and drive MRP (Oracle preferred) Integration from an SCM perspective including reports that identify actions and deliver results. Identifies and implements annual material and logistics cost savings goals. Oversee all quoting activity required to support Business Development, Business Capture and keep programs sold. Assist Procurement Manager and Program Managers as required in order to achieve OTD of materials and product.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage existing KPI's, and/or create new ones to track ongoing efficiency of all SCM activities utilizing MRP (Oracle preferred).
  • Continually assess all sourcing, planning and purchasing processes to ensure their applicability and overall effectiveness is providing ongoing benefits for the business.
  • Assist buyers as required for sourcing and negotiating activities.
  • Oversee all quoting/sourcing activity to support and ensure that the quoting process is accurate, efficient and provides on-time-delivery of quality prime proposals.
  • Provides guidance on customer and supplier quotations utilizing appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery, and service, as required.
  • Negotiates or supervises the negotiation of complex requests for equipment, supplies, and services from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Participate in or manage project excess and obsolescence and / or end of life processes...
  • Participate in all Program Reviews (New Product Reviews and Product Design Reviews) as required.

Required Education and Experience
  • Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree plus 5 to 8 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate with suppliers with strong, reliable outcomes.
  • Demonstrated execution skills within MRP/ERP, preferably Oracle, software which includes sales
    order processing, MRP, BOM, inventory management, production control, and purchase order management tools,
  • Ability to demonstrate experience with project management tools.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively lead others and act as a member on teams.
  • Ability to manage time effectively through managing multiple projects at one time.
  • Be a highly motivated, a self-starter, and be able to think outside of the box.
  • Have a demonstrated and proven high level of analytical ability.
  • Have demonstrated experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
