We are currently seeking a Senior Development Engineer to join our team at Amphenol Spectra-Strip in Hamden, CT. RESPONSIBILITIES: Designs and validates high-speed bulk wire products for high performance. Provide technical leadership in design reviews, validating product specifications and improving development processes. Apply critical thinking approach for exploring new engineering solutions, verifying product requirements, and delivering products to production. Maintains current knowledge of 'state of the art' advances in twinax design and manufacturing. Collaborates with front end and back end teams during all phases of product design, simulation, prototyping, validation, and production implementation. Communicates effectively at all levels using visuals (charts), presentations, and emails. QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent education/work experience. Experience with CAD - Pro/E and/or Solidworks or equivalent. Proficiency in FEA software used for mechanical design and analysis. Experience with new product development and introduction to volume manufacturing. Experience with PLM and PDM file management software (Windchill, Siemens PDM). Experience with data analytics tools like Power BI, Minitab, or Tableau preferred. Ability to absorb and synthesize large data pools to derive result insights.
