Afinitas is a part of BW Forsyth Partners, LLC, the investment arm of Barry-Wehmiller, a $3 billion organization with nearly 12,000 team members united by a common belief: to use the power of business to build a better world.Job Description:ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIESOperation of light, medium and heavy equipment including forklift.Operation of various hand-operated tools related to steel fabrication.Must be able to use welding equipment or the ability to learn welding procedures.Sets up equipment including jigs and the loading of the raw material that are needed in the manufacturing process.Cleans and maintains workstation to be used daily in the production process.Regular, timely attendance to meet organizational needs in an efficient and effective manner.Performs special projects or assignments as directed.Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSMust be at least 18 years of age.Prior forklift and operator experience a plus.Beginning level experience in MIG, TIG, and flex core weldingTeam oriented.Communication skillsInterpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities.Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment.Ability to obtain and operate mobile equipment needed to perform essential functions.WORK ENVIRONMENTWorks in a plant/manufacturing environment that involves the use of industrial machinery and chemicals.
